Feel like you’re alone in business? Feeling overwhelmed, isolated, frustrated? Then Business Accelerate is worth a look. It has evolved over a long time to address exactly those issues.
Long ago, I set up a group of us who worked in our own businesses, simply to have breakfast once a month in a client-free zone and talk openly. We continued for years. A lawyer, a public speaking coach and a graphic designer were some of the members.
We started out just to address the social isolation of business. In time, people set up collaborations and helped each other. It’s a very impressive magic to witness.
So to help regional business owners like you, I started a private group called Peer Magic. We would meet once a month (yes, for breakfast) and I would also meet 1-1 with each member during the month.
Why breakfast? The human brain is particularly receptive and creative early in the day (unless you’re a teenager). Why the name Peer Magic? It’s exactly that magic of the like-minded group I had seen earlier.
The COVID lockdowns put an end to that. And when I looked around afterwards, I found that (1) everyone was ok with meeting online, and (2) I could help a lot more people by sidestepping the old “tyranny of distance”.
Another evolution: I took the core concept and moved it online.
Since then, with Carmel’s help we’ve added:
- A discussion and Q&A group on Facebook
- A guest speaker for most sessions
- The Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile bundled with your membership
- Discounts when we put on a business skills workshop.
Now it’s not only a magical peer group, it’s a continuing education in how to do business better. As it evolves, we’ll layer on other options, so you can pick and choose exactly what best suits your needs.
Too busy? Can’t commit time to improving your business skills and contacts? Then remember Stephen Covey’s story of sharpening the saw. A man was obviously exhausting himself trying to cut through a tree trunk with a blunt saw. “Why don’t you stop and sharpen the saw?” said a passer-by. “I can’t,” said the man, “I’m too busy (puff) to stop (huff) and sharpen the (grunt) saw!”
Who’s going to sharpen your saw, if you don’t? Get in touch today; we’d love to welcome you to Business Accelerate.
