Your Local Chamber of Commerce

Picture this: you’re a small business owner in your community, trying to make a name for yourself in a world dominated by big corporations.  It can be tough to get noticed, let alone compete; but your local town already offers some very effective help.

Joining a local chamber of commerce means all kinds of networking opportunities.  At a business sundowner, a luncheon, or a workshop, you’ll be rubbing elbows with like-minded business people.  You might well meet your new JV partner or customer, or indeed the expert you need to slingshot your business to the next level.

But that’s not all.  Chambers of commerce provide resources and services to small business owners.  Education and expertise are usually on hand, as well as briefings from local and State governments as they impact the business environment.  And if you ever find yourself butting heads with policymakers or regulators, the chamber can be a powerful voice for small business interests.

And let’s not forget about the sense of community that chambers of commerce can help foster.  By bringing small business owners together, they create a network of support and collaboration that can help all of us thrive.  After all, we’re all in this together.

At Upland, we participate and support our local chambers, and we benefit from them in turn.  How about you come too?  We can do more together than any of us alone.
